Plan Details & Rules Summary
The Profit Pool is calculated each month and is equal to 30% of the project's Net Profit.
Net Profit is determined by taking the Gross Revenue and subtracting all direct Operating Expenses for that month, including any Sales Commissions paid out.
Net Profit = Gross Revenue - (Operating Expenses + Sales Commissions)
Any designated team member who brings in a new customer receives a one-time bonus equal to 30% of that customer's first month's subscription payment.
This commission is paid out immediately and is counted as a project operating expense for that month, which means it is deducted before the Net Profit is calculated.
For Active Maintainers: If you are actively working on the project, you will receive your share of the profits indefinitely, as long as the project is profitable.
For Departing Contributors: To honor past contributions, if you leave the project or agency, you will continue to receive your share for a "tail period" of 12 consecutive months after your departure, provided the project remains profitable.
